How to put in a flush out valve

I have a 1988 mercury V6 135 sea ray edition.

It does not have a flush out valve where would i put it?, i dont see a blank space for one.

Yes, our lake is kinda muddy an sometimes the muffs just dont get it clean. When we go back out shes spitting mudd for a few minutes.

You must be running too shallow.Can't be good for the impeller.Try using a 40 gal drum or trash bin full of fresh water for flushing.Then finish off on hose.Your motor can be run at 2000 to 2500 rpm in Neutral for flushing for around 3 - 5 minutes.I would stick to 2000 revs due to age of motor.
If you mean head flushing hose attachment they have on newer models forget it...they are crap.

If you are in fresh water I would, if (before) you trailer run the outboard in N at about 2500-3000 in the water for a few minutes, this should be enough to not unseat the poppet valve and run fresh water through the system. The fresh water flush is maninly for salt water flushing not mud.
