Hello everyone. Nice looking site.

I'm need to remove my tilt and trim assembly to replace the reservoir and noticed the lower pin does not push out either side of the mounting brackets.

Am I to presume that I need to lift the motor and separated the mounts to release the bottom pin.

This is what I have.

2001 70hp Evinrude outboard
Manf. Date 10/2000
Mod. E70PL4SI
Ser. 16012913

Pictures below to help.

Just to add this.

In the bottom picture, that painted round section where the pin is. It is a part of the casting and the same on the other side.

Just to let you know that the job is done.
You have to suspend the motor and release the starboard side of the mounts.
Took about 2hrs to do.
Thanks for the advice.
