How to remove handle

Can anyone tell me how to remove the handle on this omc control?
This is a picture I found of it.

I am redoing the side panels of my boat and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to seperate the handle from the control so that I can take it off.

When the control is together, there should be a plastic button over the centre hole in the handle, pry it out and a nut and washer should be behind it.

Thanks for the reply but not correct.
It has to be full reverse and then there is a allen screw at the front that is accessible. After much searching I found a thread on another forum that had the answer.
