How to remove reverse gear from carrier

Pulled carrier out of my lower drive on alpha 1 and reverse gear is attached to it
I want to replace tne needle bearing .
How do I remove the gear from the carrier

We put the carrier in the vice, clamping on the web, gear down and heat it, the gear will fall out we install all bearings that are in alumiun hsgs. with a heated housing to prevent galling

the carrier needle bearing and the larger needle bearing thats n the vertical shaft not sure what its called. Might be forward gear or dive gear. Its the one on shaft below water pump
I realy want to change it because im in here.but not sure if it can be done with out oem tool.
this is on 87 sea ray
also im still to get gimbal bearing out with my slide hammer. the one with ovel foot that you stick through center and it turns flat and you hammer
I can see marks on the outer edge where the last person put it in with a round punch.
im searching this forum for ideas
