I need to replace the neutral safety switch I thin . But I can't figure out how to get at the bolts that hold the remote in place. I took off the panel and see the bolts coming through but there's no access from the front....any ideas?

Take off the throttle lever. That's where they hide.

The bottom of the throttle has a slot. Push the throttle forward or pull it back in reverse until you see an allen key and remove it. I think it's forward. Anyway, after the allen is removed, the handle should pull off.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot when I get back to the house. I dont see an actual neutral safety switch here...is it possible that the whole thing serves as the neutral switch?

You'll see the switch after the back side is out.

I assume it's this guy right here?

If so, is it as easy as just dropping the new one in or do I have to do something fancy to make it know it's in neutral?

Also, I'm not finding that part number anywhere. 1265RA4 it appears...any advice?

Looks like it.

What remote control you have? That's the easiest way to find parts.

You can test it, too. It may need the position adjusted.

It exploded in my hands when I took it off. It was cracked. No adjustment in the world is fixing this one.

How do I find the remote model? It's off a 1996 Dynasty Bos Rider Elanti 180 if that helps
