The pull rope broke at the knot on my 1994 Evinrude...Would appreciate any instructions on how to rewind the rope on the spring loaded assy. & flywheel.
Did just that! The notch for the rope knot was sharp as a knife blade. MFR. Defect...Lucky I cccould wind and pull manually. For anyone needing the procedure...wind spring load clockwise till tight and back off one turn...insert rope and let it wind inward. Of course appropriate attachment of rope will complete the job. Turned out to be a piece of cake.
