How to test my speedo

i have a speedo that hasent been hooked up ut has been in the boat since 1975... it has not been used for at least 8 years and when i apply compressed air to it the needle moves.... but how many psi should be a given speed. 25psi only got it to 40 ish if i remember correctly. but is there a chart? Thanks again

I don't know of any chart, but since the needle moves, you should be OK with it.

Now that we all have GPS apps on our iPhones, etc., you can easily verify the speedo's accuracy on your first voyage.
