how to unhook quick start

im tring to get this timing fixed 1990 200gt i need to unhook the quick start i dont think i done it right i unhooked the white and black wire from power pack to the head

Mine is optical ignition so it might be different but..

disconnect the tan temp sensor wires, its the temp sensor that actuates the SLOW feature after all.
