I have a 77' 35hp that I have installed a temp gauge on. Just one of the ones that touch the head and send a signal to the gauge. I would also like to wire in a buzzer that will give me an audible alarm if things begin to go south. It would be great to be able to set the temp at which for it to buzz.

I haven't the slightest idea how to do this and I've done google searching and can't find anything that would help me out.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks,
Chris

you can buy a cheap thermo switch and connect it in series with a buzzer.

Can you shed some more light on how to do this? Where do I find the switch and how is it wired?

Thanks!

Thanks for the great info!

So if I understand correctly, the thermostat needs to attach to a head bolt or similar and when it reaches the desired temperature, it will complete the circuit and the alarm will sound, correct?
