My HPDI is still in the shop(2 weeks now) for diagnosis of the recurrent problems I have had. I really appeciate the replies I've had and have directed the YCMto follow though. I have 2 questions
1. Running at WOT: My 2005, 200 HPDI runs at 5500 rps and sometimes 5700 and achieves a speed of 42 m/H. Over the 680hrs, I have run the motor at WOT for no more than 30 minutes total. I've only run the motor at WOT for no longer than 2 minutes at a time.Why, fear, with the problems I've had I've been fearful of runing at WOT because the motor might blow. Could my not running at WOT contribute to problems with HPDIs? Would running at WOT for say 10 to 15 minutes identify problems with the fuel system sooner?
2. I troll 90% of the time at 600 to 800 rpms and use ring free. How oftern should I have the o2 sensor cleaned. Besides having filters cleaned or replaced more frequently are their other things that I could do to keep the motor running based on the way I use it?. thanks Woody
