Huge Spray Of Water on Runabout????

Hey yall Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I was on the lake saturday and I saw what appeard to be an older runabout not sure on the make or anything just know it sounded good and had chevy emblems on side of it.

While I was following it down the lake I noticed all the sudden he had a HUGE SPRAY coming from the back kinda like a wave runner or some type of racing boat would do. Then it was like a flip of a switch it stopped doing it. It was awesome.

How can I make my Merc 5.0 do this or is it even possible.

It's called a diverter, you can see the driver turn it on in the first few seconds of this vid

You need a Jet driven boat.

That is so awesome. I suppose there is no way to get thiis out of a I/O???? If not anyone want a good Bayliner?
