Hello, I have a Mariah FS18 with a mercruiser 3.0 I would like to install a thru hull transducer in my boat (the one that you have to drill a hole) The spec on my boat states the dearise is 18 degrees.

1. Is the entire hull 18 degrees or portions of the hull ???
2. How and where do I measure the deadrise
3. Where is the best place to mount this type of transducer
4. Do I measure the deadrise only at the transducer location

Thanks for your help

1. Depends on the hull design
2. See attached
3. Where you have good access to the hull.
4. Yes

Hull deadrise can vary from entry to stern. Generally, when a boat co. refers to deadrise and does not designate, it will be at the stern.
