Hi guys I'm new to the forum, but have done quite a bit of searching. I need help finding my capacity and Horse Power plate. I have just picked up a 1977 SeaFlite 21 footer and am new to boats in general. There is an embossed HIN in the fiberglass at the back of the boat. (SGK20385577C) but I can't find a capacity plate or a HP rating and I think I need them to register my boat as I don't have a title for it. Any ideas where to look I have checked out around the drivers seat and the engine compartment. Any Ideas would be great as it appears that Seaflite was pretty short lived ~10 years.
Thanks for any help. You guys have put together a great resource here.

Re: Hull ID HP and Capacity Plate

Welcome to iboats Rocfire.

Hp ratings are generally not required on boats over 20 feet in length.
Therefore, many manufacturers did not supply a rating because they were not required.

It should be listed in your state boating regs, and I know it is in the USCG regs.

Happy boating.

Re: Hull ID HP and Capacity Plate

I thought I had to have the max capacity tag. I.E. "Max 7 passengers" or "1200 lbs" .
I will be using the boat in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana and don't want to get dinged out of state a few hours from home.
