I have an 1989 16ft bayliner bow rider there are no rod holders I would like to drill two 2inch holes on either side of the transom and but these incerts they sell in the holes there is an area about 10inches by 16 inches on each side does anyone think this is a bad idea Im am worried I could weaken the coners and crack from stress from the motor our does anyone have a better idea for rod holders
thanks

Re: hull integerty

It won't hurt anything. Just make sure nothing is underneath. Use a holesaw on a drill to cut your holes. I assume you are using the flush mount rod holders. Good luck....
