Bought this boat last year: Purchased boat knowing I had hull dent / loose rivets and leak..Thus great price. Ran boat all summer and a few times in Feb. Pleased (surprisingly with Force 90 hp O/B.), pleased with boat as well. Does have a leak as expected.

I have boat in garage now and have removed floor (front casting deck) and frame below:

I will say that I am glad that I went all the way down to the hull..I located two brackets sheared off at rivets. Repairable with new Rivets. Glad I did not Pop Rivet from the outside, never would have found brackets.
I am now at the point of replacing rivets and have read most Forums regarding same. I am leaning toward replacing with Solid rivets at this point. I have access to needed tools. [Second place] was 1/4 " closed end Aluminum (pop) rivets. I am going to ASSUME (Yeah, I know) that using Aluminum will have no negative effects on point of contact??
Would anyone disagree with using Solid Rivets (Original)/ Would this be best bet, long term fix?...Recently retired, so time is something I have.
I am also planning on sealing my seams and replaced Rivets. Again, I have read most Forums regarding same. Leaning toward Gluvitt(?).....Any thoughts. I do not like "Bedliner" solution due to previously stated concerns ref. future repair.
Thoughts appreciated. Hope I did pictures properly. I'll know soon enough
Thanks !
