hello all! I figured out how to lower the file size hope it is clear enough lol
My reading so far is the gel coat cracks are because the fiberglass flexed past the gel coats ability, the dark mark has a small dime sized chip in the glass
and the spider cracking is around both sidesrunning back horizontally... until i rubbed the grease mark and smeared it into the cracks you could barely see them:eek: similar marks on the port side
any suggestions/ advice appreciated ,Can I just repair chip and use it this coming season?

The first thing I would do is access the inside, and see if the damage went to the interior. It's possible that it was damaged and repaired good enough to sell, and now it's showing its ugly face. If no issues are found, I'd repair it now, as fiberglass will absorb water over time. repair it now before it gets worse. If there is access from the inside let us see some pics.

For a quick fix just get some gel coat paste and clean the gouge with acetone and then fill it and smooth with a putty knife. if you can easily flex the area you have bigger issues

Gel coat loves to spider and craze, but you could possibly have stringer delamination.

I would certainly check into the inside as well. And if there are no other issues, then sand down the cracked areas and the chipped areas and use gel coat to bring them back out to the level surface of the surrounding areas. It may be hard to get teh gel coat colors to match though. But you can try and match as best you can. JMHO

Thanks guys for the advice definitely will be investigated I have it tarped for the winter come spring I will be looking at the interior and checking the flexibility of the area compared to uncracked areas , then the gel coat repair if it is ok and I picked up a fiberglass repair kit to hopefully add a little bracing on the inside if everything looks normal to prevent it from happening again
