humminbird 100sx

My 100sx fish/depthfinder just went screwy on me. It reads in the 500+ ft rangse all the time, no matter the deptyh, and no matter the speed of the boat. It worked just fine before, any suggestions?<br />(I searched the archives before posting, sounds like I may need to get another brand all together.)<br />I'd like to try to fix this one first.

check your transducer, make sure it's pointing down. good luck
