I went to the boat show in Ft.Lauderdale this weekend to purchase a Fishfinder with all the whisles an bows for $600.00 dollar and under. One of the sales reps told me the Humminbird 787C2 Combo fish finder GPS chartplotter was the best on the market for the price and everything that it includes. Does anyone have an opinion on this model?

Thank you,

I ssent a few hours researching them. I liked the side sonar feature. (one model has 84 deg, the other 74) The dual freq. transducers were cool, IF you fish waters that deep.
I really need just the gps, as I already have a sonar. I've decided on a Si-Tex. They are sonar ready also, just not "fish" oriented.
Sometimes Amazon.com is a good place to get a review & BETTER price.

I'm really new to chart polters, sonars & dual frequency I normal fish in 25' to 120' of water in the Florida keys. So I'm having a tough time finding my needs. Sales people want to sell you the top dollar product. They seem reluctant to discuss anything under $500.00 dollars.
I guess I'll just have to educate myself a little more.
