Can you download GPS coordinates to an SD card and load them into the SD slot of the 997c and update. What is the easiest way to download coordinates to the 997? i have a bunch on a garmin 152 that i would like to transfer to the computer and then upload them to my new unit.
Yes you can download and upload coordinates to the 997 using an SD card. The easiest way is to use the Humminbird software that is a free download from their web site (you do have to register your unit to get the free software).
Alternatively, you could use some Navigation software (I use Fugawi ENC) to import the Garmin data and then output a *.gpx file for your Humminbird.
If the *.gpx file is placed on a SD card and inserted into your 997, it will automatically load the waypoints when you start the unit up.
