Can anyone tell me when I go to mount my Humminbird KVD Helix 9 SI transducer do I mount it the same way I mounted my Helix 5 DI? This is going on my 1989 SS175 Sea Nymph that has a Evinrude 70hp..Trying to get everything I bought this past winter installed and finished to go fishing by the end of the month..

Thanks for any help you can all give me..

Mounting is the same, but placement and angle may be a little more critical.
I would suggest using a transducer mounting block so that if you need to move it, you will not be driving more holes into the transom.

If you are mounting it to the same boat as the 5DI, and you plan on using them simultaneously, make sure the transducers are of compatible frequencies so you don't have interference issues.
Hummingbird will allow you to exchange for the transducer you need (before you install it ) , so contact Hummingbird directly if this will be an issue.

Thanks for the help,I was just not sure if they mounted the same as one being a DI and the other being a SI unit,I will indeed be mounting to a mounting block,I will not be using them at the same time as the DI will only be on the boat temporary until I get use to using the new HB KVD Helix 9 SI as this will be my first time using a SI.
