Humminbird SI for salt water

I was told you cannot use it in salt water the side imaging will not work is this true if not whats the max depth i removed one from my bass boat before i sold it and just installed on a center console bay boat and a guy told me tonight i wasted my time it would not work

Should be fine in a bay boat. Allot of SW divers use them. There are some SW specific configuration items. Try it out before removing.

They will work, but without heave compensation, the water has to be fairly calm for it to work very well.
