I have a Hummingbird Wide view 128 fish finder. It worke fine until recently. Now when I turn it on the display will come on but after about 30 seconds the screen goes blank, the back lite still works but nothing on screen. It is getting power 12.6V on meter. i would not think it would be transducer related.
Any ideas or do you think this fish finder has gone to fish with the sea gods?

Tiki, It would not hurt to make sure the connections in the base and the removable display are clean. It doesn't take too many ohms of resistance to drop 12 V to 8V, where the machine won't work.

Do you get the base line on the display?

It's internal if the screen goes blank but power is still present. Considering the lower cost of units today, I'd junk it ...
