OK I have a 1976 Kingfisher with an old Hummingbird depth sounder....
The sonar disc is spinning but I can't get the lights inside the unit to work..
Are replacement bulbs for this unit??

Many Thanx....Dave

Not worth fixing, IMO. A new low-end LCD fishfinder goes for less than $100.

I had the same issue with the one on my Ranger. Eventually the thing stopped working altogether.
You can get a new digital depth finder for $100 bucks but they are smaller in diameter than the old flasher so the mounting in your dash will be fun.

I was thinking gimbal-mounted.
Which do you have, David? (I was referring to a gimbal-mounted unit in my PM.)

For depth reading (at speed--above 45mph) digital sonar just for depth of course. I also use a hummingbird 570 on the dash. It works well up to 45 but after that nothing ( they say it will read up to 70 but I think that is only if the transducer is mounted externally) The 570 is about 200 bucks. I have one up front as well (have a bass boat) The flasher was the best when it worked--would read at any speed but when it stopped I couldn't run the boat at speed with just the fishfinder. Even though it reads depth I really like having a unit just for depth and will read at any speed--it's way safer.
