hydraulic lifts?

I have a 89-90 Force 120 outboard on a 1990 bayliner capri CC. I am trying to find the 2 lifts that hold the motor up when you trim up. I'm not sure what they are called and i've scoured iboats catalog looking for them. they are similiar in function to whats under a car hood that holds the hood up without a prop rod. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

One is called the tilt cylinder and the other is just a shock absorber. Send RRitt a private message. He undoubtably has some available.

evinrude did make some gas charged shocks of the same size. I don't see any reason that you could not fit them. It would not hold your engine in position. It would simply make it lift easier like the cylinders on your car hood. If you did not brace the engine it would just fall back down. The actual force cylinders will need a pump and tubing. Pumps are expensive. It isn't just because it is a marine part. A 12v dc hydrualic pump for a john deere tractor is probably more expensive than a marine trim pump.
