Hydraulic lines removal

As part of an overhaul of my outdrive, I'm replacing the gimble housing on my Alpha 1 Gen 1. I have to dismantle and use some parts from the original outdrive and I've run into a bit of a problem. Can anyone tell me how the hydraulic hoses assembly can be removed, where they join together in a sort of "block" connector which is located under an anode (I think) just next to/between the rams. Hope I'm explaining properly but I've included a picture that might help. The tan and black hydraulic lines connect to this block but the point of connection is inaccessible, so how do I remove the lines?

Thanks in advance. Hydra 1 (2).jpgHydra 2 (2).jpg PS. I accept that the general assembly is in a sorry looking state. This is part of the reason/problem which I inherited when I bought the boat, but rest assured it's all being put right!

Your half way there, the manifold in your fist pic comes out further, then the lines can be removed. Most likely there is so much crud up inside its keeping the lines from coming down further. It doesn't come down a lot further, kind of a pain to work remove/attach

Thanks for the response. Maybe you can clarify, when you say the manifold can come out further. Which manifold do you mean? There doesn't appear to be any " movable parts" except for the block device that the lines pass through. Any help much appreciated and thanks again.

The manifold is on the bottom of your first pic, where the screw stud is shown. Just pull it down a bit farther

I did that and it all came out very easily, thanks. I had already undone the rams, with lines still attached and now the whole assembly is on the bench, where it's much easier to clean and also the access to the hydraulic line fittings is so much easier.

Thanks again to all who responded.
