hydraulic problem ???

Hi everybody,<br /><br />first of all, please excuse my english (i'm french speaking). I recently had some trouble with my motor (1993 Merc 60 HP 3 cyl. ELPTO S/N #0D074327) power trim (single ram).<br /><br />1. A few weeks ago, the trim motor suddently quit working (no sound). I remove the unit, open the trim motor and clean the brushes. Now it work great on both sides.<br /><br />2. A couple of days later, it start to "leak" down i.e it doesn't really leak but it doesn't hold the motor in the "up" position. I remove the release valve and change the three o-rings on it (they were worn). It solve the problem.<br /><br />3. Now, after a few hours of normal operation, i suddently became unable to lower my motor. The trim motor is still running on both sides but it just lift the motor, it doesn't goes down. <br /><br />My question is: what the hell could it be? is it the trim cylinder piston that was leaking? If so, why is it working okay when it goes up? Maybe cause the free piston was okay and push on it on the way up...Or could it be a check valve? i don't know.<br /><br />I really need help.<br />Thanks.
