hydraulic steering question

i have a 1991 tracker center console with a searay hydraulic steering system, this is a new boat to me and i've never owned this type system before. there is a small fill hole on top of steering wheel, do i fill to top or just until i see fluid and what type fluid should i use, tractor type?

I would have to suggest buying a manual.
I dont have the answer to your question, but the book will.

ya u fill till u see the fluid in the top hole. you need to use seastar hydro fluid specificly for the helm. you can buy it at any marine store 20 bucks. you should go to seastar.com to learn more
