I have a 2009 hydra-sports 2500 vx with what appears to be a water intrusion problem . I read on another site about another HS2500 that had water under the table mounting plate..Well I took mine off and it was full (10 gallons). It seems to be fresh water or a mix of both. The boat is normaly kept on the trailer.I have had it in a slip for a month..Any ideas

The first thing is to drain/pump the water out to prevent further damage in the bilge. Then I would inspect (closely) all through-hull fittings for signs of seepage. Check that the hoses are tightly fitted and are not kinked, no holes, etc. Also, carefully inspect the deck for hairline cracks or other possible ways water could get down below (hatches, access covers, vents, etc). If you even suspect a spot, seal it, replace it...whatever is suitable to prevent it from letting water get below.

Then splash it and look at all potential entry points.

Do you have a working bilge pump? Do you take out the drain plug after each use?

I'd wager it gets in via the hull/top deck joint. Rain water can wick in this way.

Classic Genmar Marine problem. Hydra-Sports is part of the Genmar group. If water is getting into the boat structure, you can bet the most likely culprit is the deck/hull joint.

Some accountants figured out a way to 'bond' the hull and duck faster/easier/cheaper years ago.

Extensive mods to the deck hull joint or a full bow to stern cover at all times. Of course, this doesn't help at sea when water splashes off the boat.
