are hydro foils worth it and witch one do you recommend. i have a 18.5 foot reinell with a 4.3 and an alpha one outdrive.

ONLY if the engine installation is slightly higher than 'normal'. If the engine installation is at the standard height, a 'wing' will cause high speed handling issues.

If you haven't looked into them already, look into Nauticus Smart Tabs. They will perform better than any hydrofoil and they don't cost much more than a hydrofoil. Imo, hydrofoils are not worth buying.

hydrofoils or tabs? Big difference.

i mainly use my boat for pulling tubes and just cruising. Are you saying there is a big difference between the two or that either one will make a big difference. Thanks

Ayuh,.... Either 1 will make a Big difference......

Smart tabs work Great,....

Whaletails usually end up bustin' off the cav-plate, from the drive housin'....
