Ok, got the boat back from the shop today took it right to the river and it started up again and we went down the river but:
We were WOT and it was running good about 27mph GPS reading and then it slowed down like you came off the gas but we didint. We back of the gas and got it to a point to where it was running with out sounding like it was going to shut off and putted along for about 5min and then we started to give it gas again and it ran fine for the next 30min till we took it to the ramp and brought it home.
What could have made that happen? Plug issue or maybe some carb issue since it had been sitting for about 3months.
Next question, since the prior owner is using the VRO for a fuel pump should I be using different plugs? Hotter? We are mixing 50:1.
Before I forget the motor is a 1985 Johnson 60Hp VRO.
