Yep, title says it all. I am leaving....
Just for 3 weeks.
Sunday, my boy scout troop is leaving for summer camp. Nothing major, I do it every year. We have a he!! of a time. Spend a week up there. Earn merit badges, and have troop on troop competitions. I will *try* to get in a bit of bass fishing at the two ponds up there, but that is easier said than done with my active troop.
We will get back the next Saturday late afternoon. Then, Sunday morning, 7 of the older guys, and 3 leaders are leaving to go to Philmont for 2 weeks. Philmont is often the pinnacle of many scouts lives. It is a 12 day backpacking trip in the New Mexico desert. We are gonna drive out there (from Atlanta to Cimmaron New Mexico) in three days, and use one of those days to stop at a theme park in Oklahoma. On the way back we are going on a suicide drive in about 1 1/2 to 2 days. I may or may not be getting on here Saturday between summer camp and Philmont.
I should be getting back on the 3rd of July.
I cannot wait!
