My dining room table is getting quite small for my growing family. For quite some time I have had some ideas in the back of my head. The wife and I know what we want out of it. Comfertable, roomy, a place for the kid's to spread out and do there homework, a gathering place for games, room for company, Inexpensive, funtional, informal,DIY...A nice winter project!

I know where the lumber is that I can use to do it and today I stopped to talk to them about it...They said take all ya want for free, right in my price range I will be by early next week to pick it up!

So this afternoon I decide to do some internet searching on my concept to see if I could come up with any additional good ideas.

And this is what I found out...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I May Be A Redneck!...No I couldn't find any good tips or free plan's. Because I did not have the time to sort through all the redneck referances relating to my choice to use an empty caple spool as the top for my new dinner table.

Now some of you undoubtdly figure at this point that I must be joking! I am dead serious...I seen one once that was routered with a pattern and inlaid with rope and finished real nice...I liked it, and more importantly so did my wife!

So as I forge ahead with my plan's to convert this cable reel into a dining room table I must face the fact this is my official notification to the world....We are a redneck family!!
