I am really frustrated:mad:

This 1988 Evinrude 50 HP E50BECCS on my 20 ft pontoon has frustrated me from the first time I had it in the water and I am about ready to use some dynamite on it.

Alright I have rebuilt the carbs, (twice) lync & sync and got it to run but would never run when underway and just above idle (like going through a no wake zone or trolling) About two weeks ago I started having a miss, so using the manual I started to trouble shoot. I would have a cylinder that wouldnt fire, moved coils from the one that would fire to the one that wouldnt, and that coil would then fire. I guessed the sensor coil, so after fighting with the horrible parts dealers here in Atlanta; I finally got the part and tools, also since I was under the flywheel I figured that I would change the charge coil at the same time.

Got the flywheel off and started to change the parts. I found the that the charge coil was leaking that black gooey stuff from the bottom. Following the steps in the OEM Manual I put the parts back together.

Got it to start and idle and took to the lake. It would only idle with the carbs fully open and the idle mixture screw all the way in. But when run WOT the engine would only get about 2500 RPM.

So what did I do wrong:(
