I could care less. Double standard for the kennedy's, thats been true for decades, nothing new there. Color me surprized to find out a kennedy has a drinking problem. Nothing new there. A meaningless personal event blowing up because of a lie, par for the course. And even if he killed a traincar full of nuns, children and puppies, he would be re-elected so why get worked up. If he made a mistake, big deal, thats his cross to bear.<br /><br />A kennedy drinking, driving, and a young girl didn't drown or get raped. Hey, there's some news.

Rodbolt,what is the difference?Both people did the same thing,at least one did go for treatment.(I do not know if Rush did).neither of them got jailed and they will both come off with a slap on the fingers.<br />On another note.The Kennedies may be very rich and influential,they also paid a very high price for their fame.If in my family 2 brothers were murdered and one of my cousins died in a plane crash and all the time the world looks at me through a magnifying glass,I would probably start doing whacky things.

Rolmops, If my father killed a woman driving a car after partying, I might take a second thought about doing a similiar thing. Or not. If my cousin killed a woman cuz she spurned his advances doesn't mean anything in this event. But rationalizing his actions based on his family history is just sad. If the world looked at me through a magnifying glass and was messed in the head, I might just try something other than a life in the public eye.<br /><br />What he did, in my opinion, is a personal issue. To be delt with personally. It is the reaction of the police to cover it up in lighening speed that should give all of us pause. He didn't even ask for such service. It says volumes about the culture of the political class. It should make all of us sick. Regardless if his dog died when he was 14, he has a brain, it must work because a large amount of democrats keep voting him and his family members to office. Or is being messed in the head a qualification for nomination in some parties?
