I am fairly new to boating. What is the differance in outboard and inboard and what is a inboard/outboard?
LOL.....Funny but so true !!!!OB= everything hung off the transom, easy to service, easy to work on, more room inside the boat.
I/O= engine inside bilge compartment, requires a contortionist to do basic maintenance, takes up more space inside boat, automotive engine forced into marine duty against it's will...
Other than that, both are a basic propulsion system for a boat.
