Several of my friends have bought engines from iboats, Carp King.

Each has thanked me for suggesting it. They are happy with the price, the products and the service.

BTW, I am not employed by iboats. :)

Hi, CK.

Two of my friends bought "special program" engines, Evinrude/Suzuki DF70 4 strokes coming off of lease. Probably had over 1,000hrs on them.

Price was less than half of MSRP. The engines had warranty, were in like-new condition and have run like new for about a year now.

In my view you couldn't beat that with a big stick. :)

Dad's was like new, mine appeared to have more hours on it, but was in excellent condition, minus the dirty sparkplug and a scratch on a decal and a few scratches (no dings) on the prop.

Both were small kickers, 2002 models bought in December of 2002, 60 day warranty.

By the way, I may be 30 or 40? years from retirement, but am on a fixed income too. No, wait, my income has gone down each of the last 3 years, is now 50% of what it used to be. I can't just go out tomorrow and increase my income by 20%. You on the other hand (health permitting) are able to.
So don't get in that "limited income" mindset.
It took me 10 years to get my dad straight on this. Now he works parttime and is happy, as opposed to sitting around the house and being grumpy.

I bought a 20 HP Merc Demo motor last year for a good price. It was not running well,(missed badly)when I got it but Merc took care of it with no questions asked and it has run great all of this season. I would not hesitate to buy another outboard from them.
:) :p ;)
