Re: I bought a boat.. 1981 Baretta Success (pic)
stern light huh, I'll have to check the goodie bag that came with it see if there is something in there..
as far as the rest of the boat.. the transom looks good as does the bilge..(further investigation required) I know the foam on the transom is dry..
the stringers in the ski locker are soft...(ugg..) but I knew that going into it..
part of my negotioting..
my plan, get it all winterized shortly.. and then next spring. get it running.. if I can get it running good.. then i will patch it up.. and get it on the water for the summer.. then next winter.. pull it down for a full stringer replacement.
the hull looks good. only 1 patch and its very hard to see.. and then that hole that sombody cut into the cap.. by the stern light opening... gel coat seems good, nothing a good polishing couldnt fix.. I am hoping not to have to gelcoat or paint the hull.. thanks all..
as i said.. i wont be doing much with it this winter.. (some investigating), finding a manual, etc..
I am excited.. very excited.
I am definately going to paint "Powered by I-Boats forums on the side near the transom.. (dont know of any other I-boaters in colorado) but might as well advertise.
