I can not read anything on this site.....ads

i am trying to inform myself with expert knowlede,but these ads at the bottom of the page and those on the right side of page make it darn near impossible to see anything!!
Does this bother others also?

Use firefox and the adblockplus extension. Blocks all ads on all forums and sites and makes life much nicer again.

No kidding, scargo. Using Firefox 4 and AdBlock Plus here, and I've never seen an advert for anything !!! And you might also want to add Flashblock too.

I've just conditioned myself to ignore them. (Sometimes there's a good sale though, this is a commercial site!) Just have to occasionally turn off the chevy ad at the bottom. They don't bother me.

I'll check the flashblock. I don't watch commercials on my tv, no way am I going to have them rammed down my throat on forums I visit. I just block them, and they are gone, no need to complain or be annoyed

This. The ones on the right are always(?) from iboats and often contain discounts and specials. Certainly no one can begrudge our host for advertising here.

I was an original FF user, but eventually dropped it because it became too bloated & switched to chrome. I just downloaded 4 to give it another shot & I must say I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm an iboats supporter & understand the need for ads. However, when they become intrusive it's just annoying (popup specifically).
