today i was showing my cousin my 1988 bayliner capri br 1900 w/125 hp force outboard. took cover off motor while trying to start it and saw metal shavings comming from under the flywheel. the other owner said he had the stator under the flywheel replaced. why would there be metal shavings comming out? and it would not start. i guess battery not fully charged i just dont know............ please help....

Magnet might have broke/came loose in the Flywheel? Tough to say, but no, it aint right
