That is exactly right. Firefox is almost identical to IE minus all the security holes. I can't get some plugins to work with FF so I use IE for those only.

You can import IE bookmarks. Please bite the bullet. It's also faster, it's a smaller less complex program so it will open faster on your machine. Cool huh?

I would look into Mozilla Thunderbird as well. Again, it's a smoother, better program that is almost cosmetically (meaning, to your eye) identical to Outlook Express. Trust me I've been using IE for almost 10 years, I've switched in the past few months and regret not switching sooner!Originally posted by NoelMG:
You don't have to quit using, you can have both on your machine at the same time.

I use Firefox 99% of the time. There are a few times I can't get a plugin to work right and I use IE for those pages only.
I havn't used Opera for some time either, seems they went FREE..!!

Opera...Originally posted by 18rabbit:

Does Opera still have the advertisement window with ads, similar to Eudora?
I know, but I find the way Opera uses them more convienient......although they do much the same thing.

FWIW I havent had a single pop-up with Opera. Also, Opera has a "magic wand" feature that fills out forms for you. It remembers passwords if you want....but goes a step further. I have mine set to remember my name and address and phone number etc..........great for filling out forms.Fwiw, the tabs feature is also avialable on Firefox.
