Is it a SeaSwirl?
It's one of the other boats I might look at. It's a 1990 Spyder 202 BR but I can't seem to be able to find out much about these boats. It's a 20' open bow powered by a V8 MERCRUISER I/O that looks to be in very nice condition but thats all I know thus far..
So, does anyone know who makes these? How are they? Pro's/con's, etc??
Thanks again...

Thats what I was thinking but now I think it might actually be a "SpyderCraft". Never heard of them though..
Thanks

Any feed back on these boats? Unfortunately I believe this boat has an OMC..

HEY! I HAVE ONE! You're the only other person on the internet Ive found with one. It is a Seaswirl. I have a 1988 202 bowrider as well. I've only had it for about a month and it has an aftermarket rebuilt 350 (5.7L) v8. I really like it. lots of room for the family, plenty of speed, and looks great. I like the longer nose/open bow than most models have. The roomy sunning area and the transom-wide swim platform. Ill attach a pic of mine.. It is worn off on the side shown but you can see where it says Seaswirl on the bottom/aft part of the hull. Like I said very little info on that particular model, but everyone Ive talked to says Seaswirl has a great reputation for quality. Hope you pick that one.

Hey, cool... Yeah, the boat looks pretty nice and by reading the spec's I would think it should be a pretty fast and nice riding boat. I'm pretty concerned with it being an OMC though due to the history, and parts availabilty problems..

So, gimme more dirt on yours.. Plenty of speed? Details man, details... Ha

How does she ride and handle? Was your engine rebuilt to stock specs or was it hopped up?
Have you pulled any one yet? (ski, tube, etc)

Thanks.

Well Ive only had it out 4 times since Ive had it. Had it out today actually. Mine has a rebuilt 5.7L and it will pop up on plane in just a few seconds. The speedo clocks 45 mph wide open but I really think Im getting a bit more than that. It is quite fast. I have a buddy with a handheld GPS so Ill report on that as soon as I get that done.
It came with a hydrofoil on the Cobra outdrive -I took it off it before I went out today and It definitely handles better without it. Hardly any difference at all on how fast it planed. and no more bogging down on turns. and actually got a few more MPH. The hull handles the chop and wakes well.
Very little info on these boats. Hell I dont even know how many gallons the fuel tank is. Im guessing about 30-35. The stock 350 is very good on gas. Relatively speaking. I pulled the kids around on tubes all day last Sunday and went on a couple short joy rides after that and that only burned 1/2 tank. Im no expert (yet) on the difference between OMC or any other. I know its just a Chevy 350 with marine accouterments. I doubt it would be a problem finding parts.
Not much else to tell really since Im still learning the ins and outs of it myself.
As far as pulling tubes..ha...just hang on for dear life. My wife almost pulled my arms off! Havent pulled a skier yet but I have no doubts that she will pull the fat boys (me) no problem at all. I have a 14 1/2 x 19 prop. You can always change your prop size for what you;re doing too.
Well I hope you get it. I'll have someone to swap notes with.
Its a fun boat and I plan on getting a lot of use out of mine.

Thanks again.. The boat is in the running for sure..
For the size, the engine, and features that this boat has, it'll be hard to find another one with this price point....

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but I just bought a 89 Spyder 202 with 302HO w/OMC Cobra. There is NO info anywhere on these boats and they are fairly rare Ive found.
