I finally bought a fish-n-ski boat to go with my houseboat. Most of my family and friends now officially think that I've lost my mind. I'm not aguing with them, yet.

I bought a 1992 ProCraft 170 Combo with a 90HP Mercury outboard. It has had a couple of owners, but the carpet, seats and gelcoat are in good shape as it has always been garage kept.

I'd like to give the boat a good cleaning and waxing. Can anyone tell me how to go about it and what products to use?

Thanks,
texasvet

Looks nice, and looks to match the houseboat too.

Congrats! We had a 1984 Procraft fish and ski. For the upholstery, I like Meguiars marine vinyl cleaner/conditioner

Congrats to another Procraft owner. I like the color combo on that. For general cleaning and wax, I just use car wash soap (what ever is on sale) and Meguiars carnuba wax. If there is a little more cleaning needed, hitting it with a cleaner wax first may be a good step. If there's heavy oxidation, then you have to resort to more agressive rubbing compounds. Ejoy the new ride!

That's a better offer than my golf buddy that aksed if he could borrow the houseboat for 22 minutes. I said that I thought he only needed 8 minutes. He said that I must have been talking to his wife :)

Well, then the 22 minutes must include the time it will take him to drive the new Procraft to the house boat and back.:p If you encounter any really stubborn stains on the upholstery you might give Magic Erasers a shot.
