Well it wasn't the one I had wanted. It sold the weekend prior. This one is a lot older but as nice. It is a '75 starcraft trihull 16ft. 85 hp merc outboard,2 gas tanks, open bow. The floor was removed and a new one was put in, new carpet, 4 swivel seats in the back are brand new and the front seats are recoverd. Pretty plain with toys except for a power anchor.

My question is. What size anchor do I need? I have a 10lb I use for my duckboat but I think it is inefficant. Also no tunes. I have and older car stereo. Can I just wire it up? Is it the same as ones you would find on boats?

Thanks,

~Chris

The anchor depends on the bottom conditions. A 10 lb anchor is ok for a muddy bottom for that size boat. If it's a rocky bottom a danforth anchor will work well.

Also, the car stereo and speakers will work -
I've done it before...

Like River Rat says that car stereo will work fine. Marine stereos are a joke. Paint the housing white and call it a marine stereo.Naturally you want to keep the stereo protected(if you are going to leave it in the boat) in a glove box or console. I've found that using a quick dis-connect plug works great. That way you can easily remove the stereo from the boat.
I would put in marine speakers though. You can buy them cheap enough at West Marine or similar stores.
;)

board is right...spend a little money on marine speakers (tend to hold up better). You can put any old stereo in the vessel...
