Late afternoon I finally got out to the lake.. I got all the way out there and not a soul on the lake, no cars or people, not even a ranger. It was so gorgeous and it was hardly windy too. I stayed in the 5 mile zone, becuase of all the motor problems I have had lately.. I anchored in a nice spot.. Had a pole out of course. I looked under where I keep the lifejacket and realized I left it in the 4X4 Toy at home.. To make matters worse there was a patrol boat that came cruising by as I was out there and waved.. I just about thought I was getting a ticket for sure. Nope he just waved and kepted on going.. That is when I hit a big 20" long Catfish. I played with it for a good 20 minutes trying to land it and when it got to the top water.. I was thinking "Thank you God", Well god was there laughing at me.. Becuase that cat snapped my line and I swear he was smiling at me right before he did it too...<br />To top it off, I left fishing licence hanging in my SUV. See god was with me that day..
