One of my mares foaled out today. The stud is a throughbred and it shows in the baby. Little bitty body and LONG legs. Should have another one in a few days.
The second horse from the left is daddy. He's registered AHQA but his lineage is thoroghbred. He was gonna be a race horse but got his leg caught in a fence and tore the tendons up real bad. His great grandpa is Dash For Cash, one of the all time greats. Notice how tall he is. He has about a foot on my mares, and they ain't small at all. The mare on the left will be the next to foal in a day or so. The palomino third from left will be next, I figure 3-4 months on her, don't really know. The gray-palamino in the middle and an arabian not in the pic should also come at about the same time. Lots of work ahead for me, hope they sell for a decent price.Originally posted by Serenity:
It still befounds me how the colts legs are just as long as their mom's and then they finally grow into them
serenity
