Solid 120 hp 4cyl. That runs great.
Needs mostly cleaning and misc work..Does need a trim wire replaced, the down got broke today by the soon to be ex owner..
It's a grand including the overkill D/A trailor..
Let me know whatcha think before my woman leaves me over another boat in the yard! lol

Certainlyworth a grand if the engine is in decent shape. Got to tell ya though, that boat will be like a cork on the water and jar your teeth when she hits any size waves.

Depending on how it rides in the water, loaded with you on board...you may indeed need something to balance out your weight. I'm a BOB (Big Ol' Boy) too, same weight as you, and my boat lists to starboard with me aboard in the pilot's seat. This spring I'm going to experiment with different loading/balancing options to keep it level in the water...after I get the second of twin outboards sorted out and running/operating well.

06 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab

I was actually questioning the car that appears to be pulling the boat in the picture you posted. If I'm not mistaken that is a Pontiac Sunbird Convertible!!!

I own four of those style hulls right now, and would jump at any that come along. I've owned more than a dozen and have never had a bad one. They are light, but that's what I like about them. My 18' Starchief cuddy cabin weighs only 900 lbs, and is only 1127 lbs on the trailer at the scale.
They are a bit harsh if you don't properly place the weight, but you just have to learn what works and what don't for your particular boat. Mine likes to be a bit light in the bow for the best ride, if I have two big passengers up front, it will slap the waves a bit. If I move them to the rear or mid seats all is well. Mine are all outboards, I've not yet had one with an I/O but am looking at a Chieftain 21' cuddy cabin in which I would most likely convert to an outboard boat with a motor bracket.

From my experience, these are tough hulls, they don't seem to corrode in saltwater and I've not had a leaky one yet.

If I wasn't 1200 miles away, I'd be all over that cuddy cabin.
Mine is a few years newer, I plan to do some major updating this summer to mine.

Those boats aren't all that common here, when I do find them, their usually badly abused or salt damaged. I got lucky and found the ones I do have inland away from saltwater. The hulls actually do pretty well in the saltwater, but the pot metal trim gets pretty rough.

Most will need a deck and new transom wood but their an easy boat to work on. Normal procedure is to clean and coat the below waterline inner hull with Gluvit, and give the outside a good coat of epoxy paint.

I'm half way through a total resto on a 1975 now, and am debating going after a 1969 Chieftain with an I/O, the only down side that that boat is the I/O drive. I strongly prefer outboards. I've considered doing an outboard conversion with a bracket but I really don't need another project.
