I've reached a point where I believe I have a stator issue but when I do the basic bench test it seems to be fine. It looks decent, no broken wires. Is it possible to have a bad stator that passes the multimeter bench test?

Why do you suspect a bad stator? Is it not charging the battery? That is its job.

Thanks for the reply. My bad. I was looking at this as if it had something to do with spark but apparently it doesn't on this model. As I understand it this is only for charging? I've had an ongoing issue with no spark, had it briefly, but no spark again. Everything checks out but I'm looking at points wire now, which are sketchy, or possibly an issue with the safety neutral switch. The points connection wire feels a bit rubbery and was slightly off when I did a check for continuity. Replacing those wires is my next job. Everyone say a prayer.
