I have no idea what i am getting into help please??

i was driving down the road to day and saw this boat.. I stopped and looked at it and the guy that owns it has taken the entire interior out and was going to restore it but didnt have time... has most of the seats and things but it needs a deck and some miscilanious parts. he told me over the phone it was a jaso or jayso boat i have never heard of this make... it says voyager on the side of it and it has a 4 cyl Chevrolet engine in it, its 18 foot and he said its a 1988 model 1900... does anyone have any ideas to point me in the right track...

If the engine runs, if theres no water in the oil and if the outdrive is in good working order its worth messing with, otherwise its a $KK bill on a trailer.
If you don't think putting several thousand dollars makes sense into this old boat then it just doesn't.
Take that same amount of money and look at some alum outboard boats.

Welcome to iboats!

You need to find out what outdrive is in it...... Mercruiser, volvo or OMC......... if it's OMC RUN AWAY!!

Interior's are big bucks ....shop here on iboats and look at seat prices.....

MOST restore's are allot of money and allot of time. Depending on the required repairs you could be on the water in a week or in a year
