I have something for sale, where do I post it?

If there isn't a forum section for used items, then what site has that? I won't say what I have as that may break the rules. After reading the forum rules, I was not clear on whether I could post a personal for sale item. It says not to go through the transaction details in public, which I think is sensible, but I thought it might also mean not to post ANY for sale items. Its a bit ambiguous and I like to tread lightly especially when I need so much advice.

Exactly what part of rule #8 do you not understand. It says you can't buy, sell, offer for free, donate, etc in the forums.

No it says solicate which to my meaning means doing the transaction in open forum. Putting a for sale sign up, then having folks PM for details is not the same as doing the transaction in the open forum, but I wasn't sure so I asked. I did not ask for hostile remarks or attitude from you though. Do not imply I am an idiot with your snarky tone sir! I asked an honest question.

Maybe you should read up on the meaning of "solicit".

Solicit means to "suggest" the transaction which is exactly what you had in mind.
