I have to cut transom to get trim sensor out of boat? Penta DP-C1

has anyone ever came across this? I have to cut the wood transom to clear the sensor to remove it from the hole I can lift it about 1/2-3/4" but still cant get it out.

Burns, that just doesn't sound right. That means they installed a trim sensor before finishing the boat. How can that possibly be? :noidea: Maybe you are over looking something... JMHO

I had a boat that was that way. How much wood needs removed, it sounds like you are close.
Remove wood or take it apart more .
Is the outdrive off?

I had to dremel just a little bit out. Not alot. Its out now.
